Why do you love animals? This is an important question. Our answers to this question hold a key to changing how we perceive and protect our planet and its biodiversity. I believe that finding a connection with animals and the natural world will foster an innate stewardship. Our deep love for them, for whatever reason, urges us toward protecting their habitats and rights. As an artist, I am to weave compassion for and connection to other species. I hope to capture what awes us about the wild kingdom, to create a quiet magic that may bring us back to our own selves and sense of place. Above all, I hope that in our appreciation for animals we are inspired to fight for their safety, health, and protected abundance on this earth.
